Hello All!
I'm a first time blogger so bare with me!
In preparing for my journey I wanted to provide an easy way for everyone to check up on my experiences in Guatemala at their leisure.
Here are answers to some common questions.
Where are you going?
Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala.
When will you be leaving?
I will be leaving August 12th for a one week orientation in Akron, PA and then flying out from there on Aug 21st into Guatemala City.
How long will you be gone?
Almost a full year. I shall return July 25th of 2011.
What will you be doing?
A grab bag of things...I'm working along side members of a Guatemalan organization called ANADESA. I will be mostly working with the women and children. Working on peace education, environmental awareness, economic developments, and sharing the word. In addition I will be translating/tour guiding for groups that come to visit from the US.
Where will you be staying?
I will be living with a host family. More details and my address to come when I find out!
How can I help?
